Opticon’s LG2 not only reads all common 2-dimensional and matrix barcodes, but it also provides omnidirectional reading of barcodes. Dual optical paths optimize the LG2’s reading at both near and far distances. 400 MHz, 32-Bit microprocessor operation allows for super-fast decoding, and a 1.3 million-pixel CMOS sensor assures quality, high-density images. With 8 MB of non-volatile on-board memory, the LG2 can store enormous quantities of data. The LG2 supports 2D barcodes, MaxiCode, PDF417, Data Matrix, QR Code, Micro PDF, GoCode, UCC RSS Composite, Aztec Code, Code 39, Code 128, UPC/EAN/JAN, I 2 of 5,Codabar (NW7), Code 93, UCC RSS, POSTNET, PLANET, Japanese Post, and Australia Post. This particular kit includes Bluetooth® technology, USB interface, a lithium ion battery and pistol grip.
The LG2 is rugged and built to last. It’s designed for rough handling in tough environments, yet it is lightweight enough for use in office or retail applications. This unit can be used with or without the gun handle, is cordless and operates like a portable data collector. Scanned barcodes are stored in non-volatile memory for later downloading or transmitting to the host; up to 4,000 reads can be stored from a single battery charge. That’s enough memory to store an entire shift’s data even in intensive scanning environments!
A convenient timestamp feature is useful for data logging. The handle can be removed for convenient palm-held use.
